Creating twenty-first century learners

STEM in the classroom

As twenty-first century learners, we understand that our students need access to learning opportunities and devices that foster their skills and understanding in technology and engineering.

A commitment to engage kids though technology

Our approach

While we have chosen not to implement a 1:1 or Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program at SKiPPS, classes across the school are well-equipped with digital technologies that support this learning. Student notebooks and iPads are available in each space and are integrated throughout the curriculum to support learning in a meaningful way.

We are committed to digital coding and have a range of engaging and fun devices to support this important and emerging educational priority. To allow students to learn to write code in age-appropriate ways, classes have access to

  • Makey Makey kits
  • Mover Kits
  • Dot and Dash
  • Beebot
